Real Madrid legend allays fear of heart attack, gives update on health after collapsing during training
Real Madrid legend and Porto goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, has issued an update on his health after the footballing world was thrown into panic earlier on Wednesday, May 1.
The Spaniard, 37, was rushed to hospital after he reportedly collapsed during training due to what was reported to be an heart attack.

With fans and football icons sending goodwill message to Porto’s number, Casillas himself has taken to Instagram to assure the world that all is well.
Casillas, who won two successive European Championships in 2008 and 2012, as well as the World Cup in 2010, said the situation had been “controlled”.
The football legend said: "Everything controlled here, a big scare but with the forces intact. Thank you very much everyone for the messages and the love."
Amid worry across the world, a club statement from Porto's official website made it clear from the offset that Casillas was not in a life-threatening situation.
“Iker Casillas suffered an acute heart attack during this Wednesday’s training session,” Porto said in a statement on their official website.
“The session was quickly halted so medical assistance could be provided to the Porto goalkeeper, who is currently in the CUF Porto hospital. Casillas is ok, stable and the heart problem has been resolved.” Porto had said in a statement.
Casillas is currently one of football's modern legends with a string of trophies under his belt.
He is currently Real’s second all-time appearance maker, playing 725 matches between 1999 and 2015.
Casillas has an amazing trophy collection including five La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues, not to mention a famous World Cup.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Iker Casillas was rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack during training.
Fortunately, the Spain world cup winner's condition was said to have stabilised and was out of any imminent danger after being taken into care earlier in the day.
