PSG make big history in Ligue 1 despite defeat against Reims as Mbappe scores

France international Kylian Mbappe was in superb form on Friday night, May 25, as his goal for Paris-Saint-Germain against Reims ensured the club make history in Ligue 1.

Kylian Mbappe's 59th minute goal was not enough to save Paris-Saint-Germain from a 3-1 defeat against Reims in the final game of the season.

But his goal meant that Paris-Saint-Germain had become the first team to score in each of their 38 matches in France's top flight.

Mbappe who won the 2018 World Cup title with France however comfortably ended the 2018-19 campaign as Ligue 1’s top scorer with 33 goals.

But he was unable to meet up with Barcelona legend Lionel Messi in the fight to lead the goal chart in Europe as the Argentine superstar scored 36 goals.

This will now be the first time in Kylian Mbappe's career that he will be winning the golden boot award.

The 20-year-old has been a target for Real Madrid, and there are reports that Los Blancos' chiefs are ready to go for his signature this summer.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how ex-Real Madrid boss Vicente Del Bosque said that he would prefer to sign Kylian Mbappe ahead of Neymar.

The 2010 World Cup winning coach with Spain believes the France international has more to the mental side and maturity of his game.

Both Paris Saint-Germain has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, but Del Bosque who won the Champions League in 2002, says he will only sign one player if both were available.
