Frenchman Paul Pogba ignored Manchester United’s fans after the 4-0 bashing by Everton on Sunday, April 21 as club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer apologized to Reds Devils faithful at the stands.

The Old Trafford dwellers were taught some football lessons at Goodison Park by the Toffees, with their top-four quest at the end of the campaign now in tatters, courtesy of their worst performance of the season.

United were two down before the halftime break after the pair of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson scored for the home-side.

And in the second-half Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott increased United’s woes as the Toffees cruised to comfortable win.

At the blast of the final whistle, Solskjaer headed towards United’s travelling supporters as he held up both hands to apologise to fans, with Diogo Dalot and Scott McTominay following behind to perform the same ‘ritual’ as well.

The Norwegian was spotted directing other squad members, who were still on the pitch to approach their fans before leaving for the dressing room.

However, Pogba, ignored his manager’s call and headed towards the gates after swapping swapped shirts with compatriot and France teammate Kurt Zouma.

“I’m furious the fact he’s had to go over and apologise for them,” former United captain Gary Neville was quoted as saying on Sky Sports after the match.

“I’ve often said if you’ve got weeds in the garden, you’ve got to get rid of them.

“But there’s some Japanese knot weed at that football club and it’s attacking the foundations of the house, and it needs dealing with properly.”

Meanwhile, Solskjaer tendered an apology again to Man United fans in his post-match interview, moments after the match.

“From the first whistle everything went wrong. I just want to apologise to the fans. They’re the only people with the badge on today who can hold their head high, because we can’t," the United boss told Sky Sports.

“Everton were better than us at all the basics. There are so many things that we need to do better to get a result. Talent has never been enough.

“We just didn’t perform. That was not worthy of a Manchester United team. ‘We hold our hands up and apologise to everyone associated with the club. We have a perfect chance to make amends on Wednesday [against Manchester City],” he submitted.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester United risk not qualifying for Champions League next season after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Everton at the Goodison Park.

The Red Devils came into this fixture with the hope of returning to winning ways after their disappointing out at the Camp Nou last week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men were however stunned by their hosts, who put four goals into the back of their net and put their top four finish ambition under threats.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
