Sanwo-Olu described Salis as a jester seeking relevance through the court after the massive defeat he suffered during the governorship election.
Channels Television reports that speaking through his media aide, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu said: “Mr Sanwo-Olu is governor-elect of Lagos state and by the grace of God, he will be sworn in on the 9th of May as the next governor of the state.

“Salis is behaving like a court jester within a political environment. A man who couldn’t win his polling unit but seeks to become governor through judiciary can only be likened to a court jester.
“This is a voyage to nothingness. We won’t even dissipate our energy on him. He is a clown that should be ignored."
Legit.ng earlier reported how Owolabi Salis filed a petition at the Lagos state governorship election tribunal asking it to stop the inauguration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the executive governor on May 29.
The petition marked EPT/LAG/GOV/2/2019, it was learnt, has the AD as co-petitioner.
The petition alleges that Sanwo-Olu has a criminal record in the US, is of unsound mind and should be disqualified by the tribunal from being sworn-in as governor.
