Oddsmakers, Supercomputer tip Barcelona, Liverpool as favourite for Champions League title

- Champions League winner has been predicted by supercomputer and bookmakers

- The machine tips Barcelona to emerge champions at the end of the season while bookmakers believe Liverpool will win the title

- Both teams are through to the semifinals of this season's championship after victories over Man United and FC Porto

Spanish league giants Barcelona have been tipped by supercomputer to win this season's UEFA Champions League title.

The Catalans cruised to the semifinals of the competition following their 4-0 aggregate win over Manchester United at the quarterfinal stage this month.

Two goals from Lionel Messi and one from Philippe Coutinho ensured the La Liga side overcome the Red Devils after regulation period at Camp Nou.

Barely a week after winning the first leg courtesy of Luke Shaw's own goal at Old Trafford as they search for their sixth UCL title.

Though, they have to battle another tough Premier League outfit, Liverpool in the semifinals but the computer tips the Bluagrana to triumph at the end of the season according to Bleacher Report.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp's Red armies will emerge champions for the first time since 2005 according to bookmakers.

The English topflight side have a slim chance to edge Barca to the title, although, they did not predict if both sides will meet in the final of the competition.

Liverpool progressed to the last four stage of the championship after a 6-1 aggregate win over Portuguese side FC Porto. As such, the winner of the semifinal clash could go on to win the title.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Serie A giants Juventus have been tipped by a supercomputer to beat Barcelona and lift this season's UEFA Champions League title on June 1, 2019.

The Old Lady travel to the Amsterdam Arena on Tuesday to battle Ajax in the first leg of their quarterfinal clash.

While the second leg is scheduled to hold next week at the Allianz Stadium as they hope to win their very first European title since 1995-96 season.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
