Liverpool, Man City still in race for Premier League title as Man United level with Tottenham

Premier League table took a dramatic twist over the weekend as Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Chelsea all secured important victories.

Tottenham who were at some point in December nine points above Manchester United on the table are now level with the Manchester based club.

Hugo Lloris' last minute blunder gave Liverpool a 2-1 win at Anfield as the Reds were on the brink of slipping further away from the title race with Manchester City.

Man United had recorded a slim 2-1 win over Watford at Old Trafford before the match between Mauricio Pochettino's side and Jurgen Klopp's men.

Chelsea were also lucky to have ran away with a last minute winner from Ruben Loftus-Cheek that gave the Blues a 2-1 win away to Cardiff City.

Now, the Blues are just a point behind Spurs and Man United who both occupy third and fourth positions respectively.

But the most interesting part is that Arsenal can shoot themselves to third should they beat Newcastle at the Emirates on Monday, April 1.

City who also have a game at hand, made their race for a second successive Premier League title count with a 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage, home of relegation threatened Fulham.

Huddersfield were confirmed relegated following a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace as the Terriers will be playing Championship football next season.

Fulham's game against Watford on Tuesday, April 2, will determine their Premier League status while Cardiff will need to wait a little longer to know their fate in the coming weeks.
