As part of Buhari's Next Level, 10m more people will get TraderMoni - Osinbajo

- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has that 10 million more Nigerians will enjoy the benmefits of TraderMoni

- The vice president also said that the administration is introducing National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP) to empower Nigerians

- Osinbajo added that the present government is working towards empowering more people to improve their livelihood

Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo has said that 10 million more Nigerians will benefit fromTraderMoni and N-power as part of the administration’s effort to maximize the country’s human capital.

Osinbajo through a statement by media aide, Laolu Aknade, also said that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government has been making progress through the National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP), Daily Trust reports.

He that the NSIP is geared towards empowering Nigerians and helping their livelihood through many initiatives.

“In the Next Level of the Buhari administration, about 10 million Nigerians are expected to benefit from the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) which includes TraderMoni, MarketMoni and FarmerMoni.

"While the Cash Transfer scheme aims to reach one million poorest households, one million new beneficiaries are expected to be added to the N-Power scheme, arguably the largest job creation and youth employment scheme in Africa.

“The administration’s National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), which has a target of reaching 12 million pupils, is currently feeding over 9.5 million public primary schools (classes 1-3) pupils with one free, balanced and nutritious meal a day in 30 states nationwide; while it has empowered 101,913 cooks in these states,” he said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Osinbajo dismissed repeated insinuations suggesting the TraderMoni scheme is a form of vote buying.

The vice president said this through his aide in response to Odilim Enweagbara, an economist and entrepreneur, who insisted the scheme was to curry support from Nigerians for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) towards the 2019 general election.

The vice president noted that the scheme was geared towards empowering over 30 million Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with interest-free, collateral-free loans.
