Army vehemently denies reckless treatment of woman hit by its vehicle

- The Nigerian Army has reacted to a report claiming that it recklessly treated a woman hit by one of its vehicles

- The Army said the victim was rushed to Rosevern Hospital in Owerri, and that her medical expenses were paid

- The military organization also disclosed that the accident was immediately formally reported to the appropriate Army authority

The Nigerian Army has reacted to a report alleging that a woman accidentally hit by one of its vehicles was recklessly treated.

In a series of tweets on its Twitter handle, @HQNigerianArmy, on Monday, April 8, the military organization said the victim’s family had been contacted and are currently with the woman.

Legit.ng notes that the Army said the victim is now in stable condition after she was rushed to Rosevern Hospital, Owerri Road, Aba for medical treatment by the Army, which also paid her medical expenses.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army (NA) in Lagos on Thursday, April 4 completed its training of 67 security operatives on how to plan and execute Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW).

The 67 operatives were drawn from the Army, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
