Ajax set to pull upset in Champions League last 16 tie against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu

- Real Madrid vs Ajax is expecting to be an exciting game in the round of 16 Champions League tie

- The defending champions are going to be without their inspirational captain Sergio Ramos

- Los Blancos won the first leg by 2-1 as Ajax look to overturn the first leg deficit at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid vs Ajax will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu as both sides will be competing for a spot in the quarter finals of Champions League.

Los Blancos are on the back of a three straight home losses to two Catalan sides in La Liga and Copa del Rey respectively.

The European champions were beaten 3-0 and 1-0 in two El Clasicos within the pace of three days and had earlier succumbed to a 2-1 La Liga defeat to Girona.

On the other hand, after losing 2-1 in the first leg to Real two weeks back, Ajax have beaten NAC Breda, ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, scoring 13 goals.

Erik ten Hag's side were unbeaten in the group phase that involved mighty Bayern Munich as they qualified two points behind the Bundesliga club.

In the 13 clashes between both European heavyweights, Real have defeated Ajax eight times while Ajax have four wins and a draw.

The only notable absentee in the fixture at the Bernabeu will be Madrid captain Sergio Ramos who was handed an additional one-match ban after he deliberately got yellow-carded.

It is expected to be an entertaining game with both sides fully attacking-minded as the visitors will looking to put an upset at the Spanish capital.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
