- Mohamed Salah rates Manchester United boss Solskjaer ahead of their Premier League clash at Old Trafford this weekend
- The Reds must avoid defeat in this meeting if they must displace Man City at the summit of the table
- Salah failed to score in his side's 3-1 win at Anfield in December, he will hope he can improve on that this weekend
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has branded Ole Guunar Solskjaer a 'smart manager' ahead of his side's crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend.
It will be recalled that two second half goals from substitute Xherdan Shaqiri helped the Reds conquer their arch rival in the reverse fixture at Anfield late last year.
However, the Egyptian believes the arrival of the Norwegian tactician brews another level of confidence in the player, unlike when Jose Mourinho was in charge.

The Red Devils have lost just one game since the appointment of interim boss Solskjaer as he remains unbeaten in the league.
After his arrival, Paul Pogba has also stepped up his game - having had a hand in 21 goals in all competitions - scoring 11 and assisting eight others.
While United have won 11, drawn one and lost one of their last 13 matches since the arrival of the former striker two months ago.
All these are pointers for Salah, who is keen on helping Liverpool win their first EPL title in close to three decades.

As it stands, Jurgen Klopp's men are second on the log with 65 points - same as Manchester City but have one game at hand.
"I think they are different now, they’ve won 11 games and have more confidence," Salah told Sky Sports.
"With Mourinho it was a little bit different, but he is a smart manager. Everyone knows they are one of the best in the world.
"They were struggling little bit [with Mourinho] but after that they perform better. When you play for Liverpool against Manchester United – or against Everton – you realise how big that game is especially."
Mo Salah also reckons that playing agiant Man United is always a tough task, and this weekend's meeting will not be an exception.

The Egyptian has scored 17 goals and seven assists in 26 Premier League appearances this campaign and he is among top contenders for the top scorers award at the end of the season.
He won the last edition with a record 32 goals - the first player to score that number of goals in a single EPL season.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Liverpool maintained their unbeaten status in the Premier League following their 3-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield.
Two goals from Xherdan Shaqiri and one from Sadio Mane ensured the home team claimed maximum points after regulation period.
While Jesse Lingard's first half equaliser was rendered a consolation after his side failed to turn up in the second half.
