PDP has no right to dictate to the nation how it should run elections - Keyamo

- Festus Keyamo has again spoken on Amina Zakari's appointment as head of INEC’s collation committee

- Keyamo accused the Peoples Democratic Party of asking Zakari to recuse herself from the appointment

- He, however, APC is in support of credible elections and the federal government would ensure a free and fair process as promised by President Buhari

Festus Keyamo while speaking on embattled newly appointed head of election collation centre for the INEC for the 2019 elections, Amina Bala- Zakari, said PDP has has no right to impose on the nation what its own sense of fairness is.

Keyamo, the spokesman for the Buhari Presidential Campaign Council, who made this known during his appearance on Channels TV Sunday Politics programme, said: ''We are stakeholders too, PDP has no right to impose on the nation what its own sense of fairness is.”

He also faulted the insinuations that the reactions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were attempts to defend the electoral umpire.

He insisted that the ruling party was in support of credible elections and the federal government would ensure a free and fair process as promised by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The APC member said: “We are not here, and let us make it very clear, to defend the position of INEC because INEC is there to also defend themselves.

“We did not make the appointment, we did not put her in the position she is now. We are only here to make the point that PDP has no right to dictate to the nation how we should run our elections and run our democracy.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Festus Keyamo SAN, spoke about the claims by the PDP that Amina Zakari, the new head of INEC’s collation committee is related to President Buhari.

Keyamo, the spokesperson of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, stated that Zakari is not related to President Buhari because she is from Jigawa state.

He made this remark on his official Twitter page, claiming that Amina Zakari is sister to Jubril of Sudan.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
