Ohaneze blast IPOB over condemnation of Igbo governors

- The Ohanaeze Youth Council criticised Nnamdi Kanu on his attack on some Igbo governors

- The group said Kanu has derailed from his ambition

- The IPOB leader was urged to follow the peaceful path of MASSOB

The Ohanaeze Youth Council and a coalition of Igbo groups have condemned Nnamdi Kanu’s verbal attack on Governor Okezie Ikeazu of Abia state and Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi.

Guardian reports that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) had in a broadcast condemned the two governors claiming they were sabotaging his agitation.

The national president of OYC, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said Kanu should not be listened to as he has derailed from his ambition.

He said: “The coalition of Igbo groups; namely World Igbo Youth Congress, Southeast Women Professionals and Igbo Students Movement had met with the Forum of BibeingaAgitators and resolved that the attack was laughable.

“It is laughable that Kanu is derailing from his Biafra agitation and now being sponsored by politicians to cause confusion and pursuing campaign of calumny against those who mean well for him.”

Isiguzoro called on IPOB to emulate the maturity and non-violence approach of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), led by Uchenna Madu.

The group also condemned Adams Oshiomhole’s allegations that Ikpeazu has been collecting bail out funds without paying salaries.

He said: “We are shocked because our members who are Abia workers are paid as at when due, while no Abia or Ebonyi worker is being owed.”

“We unanimously state that zoning formula favours Ikpeazu and Umahi. The opposition parties in Abia and Ebonyi know that their candidates cannot win in these states, because there are no vacancies to be filled in the two Government Houses till 2023.”

Meanwhile, an Enugu based cleric, Prophet Anthony Nwoko, has openly apologised to President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent rumour by the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, that the president was long dead and that the person currently parading himself as Buhari is one Jubril from Sudan.

Legit.ng regional reporter in Enugu, Ikpechukwu Chinedu, reports that while addressing a world press conference in Enugu, a visibly angry pastor also apologised to the world, declaring that the president is still alive and will live long.

The properties taken over include House No. 15, Addis Ababa Crescent, Wuse Zone 4, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and House No. 4, Bangui Street, Wuse 2, also in Abuja.  Reacting to the situation, Galadima said, “This is an attempt to disgrace and break me down. This is injustice and an attempt to humiliate me. "But I am unbreakable and they can never silence me. They sacked me and over 50 people that sleep in the apartment. "We don’t know where to go.
