Currently trending on social media is the post of a Twitter user identified as, Amara Nwankpa, who shared photos of re-branded chewing stick that is selling at the ridiculous price of N6,500 abroad.
Chewing stick also popularly known by many Nigerians as pako is an alternative option for oral hygiene. Not only is it a cheaper option to tooth paste, it also serves as a natural and organic means of cleaning the mouth.
Pako is usually available for purchase for as low as N50 or N100 from traditional herb traders and hawkers.
Little wonder that Nigerians have now taken to the social media to express their surprise after a Nwankpa took to the Twitter platform to share images of a rebranded organic chewing stick that is selling for as high as $18 abroad.

In his post, he wrote : “My people come and see o! Common chewing stick don travel overseas come rebrand. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, the organic toothbrush- 30 day supply goes for $18”

The post immediately went viral on social media gathering mixed reactions from people. While some find it funny, others are of the opinion that when you do not cherish your resources other parties can take advantage.
