Barcelona close to signing Brazil star amid interests from Premier League top clubs

- Emerson set for Barcelona switch from Brazil topflight side Atletico Mineiro

- The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool this transfer window

Emerson has been touted as one of the young players who will light up the world stage in future

Emerson is reportedly planning to shun interests from top Premier League clubs and join Barcelona this summer.

The Brazil youngster has been a top transfer target for both Arsenal and Liverpool, but the 20-year-old would give the Catalans future rights to his services.

He currently plays for Atletico Mineiro in his country and has been tipped has one of the south American starlets to move to Europe.

The Mirror quoting Spanish news outlet Marca however reports that the 20-year-old is close to sealing a move to join Real Betis as soon as he returns from representing Brazil in the 2019 South American Under 20 Championship.

His move to Benito Villamarín Stadium outfit has been described as a joint transfer deal which includes Barca as the the Catalan club will pay part of the transfer fee,

They will also reserve a percentage of his rights and have first option of securing his services in the future.

Tipped as one for the future, the highly-rated youngster could have added much-needed full-back cover for both Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Gunners have just lost Hector Bellerin for the rest of the season with a knee injury, whilst Jurgen Klopp's side are without Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez for the time being.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool are battling for the signature of Brazil youngster Emerson.

The 20-year-old defender currently plays for Atletico Mineiro in the Brazilian League and his superb performances has attracted interests from top European clubs this transfer window.

His current deal with the Estadio Independencia outfit until 2022 having joined them from Associação Atlética Ponte Preta in April 2018.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID. The project is expected to add an extra 8 million tons per annum of gas to the 22 mtpa currently exported by the company. Oil News AddThis :
