Pogba's brace equals Man United 6-year goal scoring record set by Ex-England striker

- Paul Pogba has found his scoring boots since the sacking of Jose Mourinho

- The 25-year-old has now scored four goals in two matches under Solksjaer

- The Frenchman has equaled Rooney's six-year record following consecutive brace

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has become the first player to score two goals for the club in back-to-back matches since Wayne Rooney in 2012.

The Frenchman scored a brace for the second match running in the Red Devils' 4-1 victory over Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old on Boxing Day was on also on target against Huddersfield Town in the 3-1 win and has become the first United player to achieve the feat in six years.

Former England striker Rooney netted a double against Reading and scored twice a few days later in United's 3-2 away with city neighbours Manchester City.

Pogba's first goal against Eddie Howie's side was a well met cross from a brilliant display of skill from Marcus Rashford on the right as the Frenchman slid-in from close range.

The World Cup winner grabbed his second as he was on hand to met a well time cross from Ander Herrera to head home 28 minutes later.

Before Pogba got back his into his scoring form against Huddesrfield, the former Juventus star had only managed just one goal in 13 Premier League matches as his relationship with Jose Mourinho worsened.

But the United academy graduate has hit top form since Mourinho's was sacked increasing his tally for the season to seven.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has aimed a slight dig at former boss Jose Mourinho.

The England international revealed what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has changed since taking over as boss - and it was directed at the sacked Portuguese manager.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID.
