Dust haze weather to prevail on Saturday, December 22

- NiMet has predicted dust haze to thick dust haze weather conditions over most parts of the country

- The agency predicted that the northern states would experience thick dust haze condition with visibility less than 1000m during the forecast period

- According to NiMet, southern states will experience dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted dust haze to thick dust haze weather conditions with reduced visibility over most parts of the country on Saturday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Friday, December 21, in Abuja predicted dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres over the central states during the forecast period.

It also predicted localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m over the region throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 27 to 35 and 10 to 22 degrees celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that the northern states would experience thick dust haze condition with visibility less than 1000m during the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 26 to 32 and 10 to 17 degrees Celsius.

According to NiMet, southern states will experience dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres over the entire region throughout the forecast period.

“Localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m is expected over the region throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 30 to 35 and 16 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Dust haze conditions are expected to prevail over the country within the next 24 hours.” NiMet further predicted.

NLNG Signs Letter Of Intent On Delayed Gas Expansion Project

The Nigerian Natural Liquefied Gas LTD has signed a letter of intent for the engineering, procurement and construction of its long held up Train Seven project. In a statement released by the company on Wednesday, it said that the $10bn project will be executed by a consortium of Italian firm Saipem, Japan’s Chiyoda and South Korea’s Daewoo. The statement reads, “The project will form part of the investment of over $10bn including the upstream scope of the LNG value chain, thereby boosting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment profile of Nigeria.” Managing Director of NLNG, Tony Atta, said in 2018 that the Final Investment Decision would be made in the fourth quarter of that year. This did not however, materialize. According to the release, the project will have a four to five-year execution time after the signing of the FID. Former Maritime Agency Boss, Buba Galadima, Accuses AMCON Of Witch-hunt After Property Takeover
